Ovens Mouth

Updated: Jan 11

What a name! There is a organization up here preserving and taking care of wilderness, so people can enjoy hiking these preserves. So despite my back not quite being back to normal, I decided to use the sunshine and go for a walk in the woods.

It was only a few minutes drive from where I am staying and so the dogs and I took off mid morning. The weather was gorgeous, not a cloud in the sky and somewhere mid sixties I think.

It was supposed to be around 3.6 miles, but I got lost a few times and had to back track, but there were few people on the path and it was a nice winding one.

Lots of stones and tree roots and this feel that you are being around untouched woods, which off course is deceiving but wonderful as a thought none the less.

There are a few pictures to go along with the hike, if you are interested. They do not do the scenery any justice, as my picture taking skills are not up to par, but hopefully show a glimpse.

Today I can tell I overdid it by quite a bit and so I am staying in, reading and enjoying this gas fire place. I really would like one for myself one day.

Dogs are pretty much passed out, it was a long walk for them too.
